The Strategy
This is the Regional Woodland Strategy for the East of England (consisting of the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and the Unitary Authorities of Luton, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock).

It will help us to fully realise the assets of trees and woodland in the region.

Themes and interrelated strategic visions
The benefits that trees and woodlands can provide to the people of the East of England are diverse and inter-related. It is inevitable therefore, that topics and issues considered in one section of the Strategy will be applicable to others. In order to avoid excessive duplication, related sections are indicated within the text. Many of the strategic aims given are also applicable to a number of issues. Likewise a large number of the actions to be undertaken to deliver these aims will be cross-cutting in nature.
